Atif Mian is the John H. Laporte, Jr. Class of 1967 Professor of Economics at Princeton University and a leading scholar of macroeconomics, finance, and economic development. His influential research has reshaped understanding of the Great Recession, household debt, and financial instability, and his work continues to explore the long-term economic risks of rising debt and inequality. Mian is the co-author of the acclaimed book House of Debt and is widely recognized for shaping contemporary debates on economic policy and global financial stability.
